Body contouring procedures are most effective for patients who are at or near their target weight but have localised areas of fat or loose skin that don't respond to diet and exercise. A tummy tuck is a more extensive procedure; activity restrictions generally apply for four to six weeks. Both require compression support and structured follow-up care.
